University Church is affiliated with both the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ Christian Church).

Besides our two denominational covenants, we have particular and special partnerships with the Evangelical Congregational Church of Angola and Guatemalan Cultural Action with Global Ministries as well as a long-term relationship with the highland Mayan village of Saqa Ja' in Guatemala, home to a University Church member family.

Throughout the year we lift these missions in prayer, struggle to change U.S. policy toward these regions of the world (including U.S. immigration policy), and send (if not also receive) delegations related to these mission partners. Over the past decade our commitment to these partnerships has included not only frequent delegations but also fostering and discerning the call of three of our members to serve as Global Ministries missionaries in Angola and Guatemala.
