In a Persian Garden: The Life of Liza Lehmann (A Song-Cycle for Four Solo Voices) will be performed at University church by several outstanding soloists:

  • Tenor Henry Pleas III
  • Carl Alexander, male soprano
  • Matthew Truss, male contralto
  • Henry Pleas III, tenor
  • Vince Wallace, bass
  • Megan Wells, actress
  • Charles Hayes, piano

This free concert offers an opportunity to learn more about a woman who achieved great success despite the extreme barriers that existed for women in the field of music in the early 1900s.

The concert, presented by The Unveiled Voices Project (UVP), is seeking support for future programming through gifts and donations. The Unveiled Voices Project (UVP) is an organization with a mission to promote and present Western classical music composed by underexposed groups of composers.
