Rev. Dr. Eugene Winkler has been the interim minister of University Church since June 2008. After pastoring Chicago Loop's Methodist-affiliated Chicago Temple for 13 years, Rev. Winkler decided the ministry was his passion and he was not ready to retire.

Rev. Winkler is a prolific writer. Each Sunday his "The Sound and the Fury," a brief reflection on a relevant topic, appears on the bulletin's announcements page.
