We are grateful for your support of University Church throughout 2025! During stewardship season, October 12 through November 5, we are focusing on the importance of sharing our gifts, inspired by Romans 12:4-8:

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”

These verses highlight that each of us has gifts of the spirit that we can share with our church community, including our annual pledges of money, our talents, and our time.

University Church has been emphasizing our “shared economy” this year and many members have shared their gifts with our community. These gifts have included hosting social hour, volunteering with children and youth, making name tags, taking nature walks, helping our family in sanctuary, teaching Qi Gong classes, serving on our church board, working on our Resale Shop, singing in our choir and playing instruments, and many other activities through the year.

Your pledges allow us to keep our community vibrant with inspiring preaching, beautiful music, active children and youth ministries, and courageous social justice initiatives. We can help University Church continue to be a light for our community and the wider world.

In these coming weeks we are calling on everyone to keep the U in -niversity Chrch by making a pledge for 2026 by Stewardship Sunday, November 2. When you are ready to do so, please use this LINK. Pledge cards will also be available in the service every Sunday in October and in the church office.
